(mono) (United Artists Records) 5-song EP $22 Released 1971. Legendary rock writer John Mendelsohn led the L.A. group Christopher Milk in the early 70s. This promo-only EP was their first release. It comes in a nice package: heavy gatefold sleeve that opens to reveal a photo of the band on one side and the song lyrics on the other side. The record itself comes inside an inner sleeve that has a photo and vital statistics for each band member. There's also a separate fold-out insert with liner notes by Ben Edmonds. This is the original band with Jon Wahl, Chris Bagarozzi, Rob Walther, and Rick Sortwell. A personal historical note: "Drop" has a reference to the early Crawlspace lysergic crew--something about "Flowers and the Cowgirls on a trip" (i.e., yours truly Eddie Flowers + Lazy Cowgirls Keith Telligman and Allen Clark, who were also in Crawlspace).
